We’re very proud and excited to announce that we’ve been awarded a grant of over £1M by UKRI Healthy Ageing Challenge as part of an ongoing Innovate UK initiative to develop products and services that meet the needs of us all as we age.
With non-adherence to at home rehab exercise programs shown to be as high as 70% and 9 in 10 patients who receive insufficient aftercare never returning to ‘normal’ pre-condition life, successful rehabilitation is an ongoing challenge for the individuals, NHS and wider society.
Hero aims to play a key role in changing this by transforming existing devices, like the smartphone, into accessible at-home rehab tools that empower those aged 50+ with the confidence, knowledge and guidance needed to take control of their recovery and maximise outcomes.It’s great to begin this journey alongside many fantastic, like-minded companies.
